Leveling and lifting
A sunken slab is usually a soil problem, not a concrete problem
When a driveway, walkway, or pool deck drops on one side, the concrete is rarely the issue. The ground under it settled or washed out and left a void, and the slab fell into the gap. J Squared Builders lifts that slab back to level by filling the void from underneath, so you keep the concrete you already have instead of tearing it out and starting over.
Leveling is faster, cleaner, and usually cheaper than replacement. We drill a set of small ports, inject material beneath the slab to fill the void and raise it back to grade, then patch the ports. Most slabs are ready to use the same day. It is the practical fix for trip hazards, water that started running the wrong way, and doors or gates that began to scrape.
Sometimes a slab is too far gone to save. If the concrete is badly cracked or crumbling, we will tell you, and a repair or full replacement makes more sense. Once a slab is level, it is also the right time to add a fresh surface on top.
How it works
Why lifting a slab beats replacing it
We find the void first
A slab does not sink on its own. It drops because the soil under it washed out or was never compacted. We locate that void before we lift.
Fill and lift, not demolish
We inject material through small ports to fill the gap and raise the slab back to grade. No tear-out, no new pour, no hauling the old slab away.
Back to the right grade
We lift in controlled stages so the slab comes up level and drains the right way again, instead of back toward the house.
Usable the same day
Because there is no fresh pour to cure, most lifted slabs are ready to walk and drive on the same day we finish.
